Elk Grove Park Sand Courts (hopefully for the last time!!!)

The sand courts are located off of Park Road 

1. Register for tryouts
2. Purchase an AAU membership see below!
3. Arrive 15 minutes early to check in for tryouts
4. Have fun at tryouts!
   1.  Bring plenty of water and wear a tank top and shorts. No kneepads or shoes
   2. If you register with a partner you will be evaluated as a pair so that you stay together. If you do not have a partner, we will try to match you with a player of similar skill and age
5. We will email you with tryout results by the weekend. Tryout results will tell you what beach team you are practicing with, what time, and a link to register for the season.
6. Register for the beach season and purchase beach uniforms!!!!!!

COMPETITION PROGRAM INFORMATION

June 3rd through July 18th

The FPVC Beach Competition Program is our competitive summer beach program. Athletes from beginner to advanced will work with our experienced coaches to fine tune their beach technique and apply strategies.

We are SO EXCITED to be apart of the NEW Sacramento Valley Beach Association! This association, formed by FPVC Beach, Precision, SPVC, SPF, Aspire, and more, serves to promote the sport of beach volleyball and play under one unified entity. These tournaments are posted on our Tournaments Page.

• A tryout is required for this program. 
• At least 1 year of club experience is required. Beach experience is highly recommended for our Manhattan Team. All clubs are welcome!
• Having a partner for practice is recommended. During practice, any players who do not have a partner will be matched up with another player of similar skill if we have even numbers (or a coach if uneven). We encourage athletes to play in tournaments with different partners.
• Teams will practice at the new CRC sand courts. Please see our Facilities page for the address and directions
• Practices run twice a week for two hours in the evenings. PRACTICE TIMES WILL BE FINALIZED AFTER TRYOUTS.
• SVBA will host local tournaments for all involved clubs throughout the summer. These are posted on our  "Local tournament" page
• Tournament registration and finding a partner is solely the player's responsibility.  
• There will be 2 team travel tournaments with coaching. Players can choose to play in both of them or one of them. More information at the link below. 
• Different tournament organizations require specific memberships to play for insurance purposes. See information about memberships below.

team 1 : manhattan

• Club experience required and beach experience HIGHLY recommended

team 2 : Hermosa

• Club experience required and beach experience recommended

team 3 : Huntington

• Club experience required

• Uniforms are not included in fees and are purchased through REN athletics
• EVERY beach athlete must purchase a uniform package

Insurance is required in order to play. In order to get insurance, players need at least one of these memberships. At the minimum, FPVC requires an AAU membership. Players participating in our 2024 travel tournaments will additionally need CBVA memberships. Please make sure you READ the options below to find the best option for you:

AAU membership

• AAU membership is required for practice and ALL local SVBA tournaments. If you already have an AAU membership from your indoor club season, then you are covered.
• If you do not have a membership then please use the link below to register. Please register for a regular membership

CBVA/AVP Membership

• This membership will be required to play in either of our 2 travel tournaments
