Welcome to the FPVC Summer Speed & Strength Program

June 5th through July 27th

8 Week Program / $200 per athlete
4 Week Program / $100 per athlete

Attend as many workouts as you like per week!

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
6:30-7:30 PM
Guttridge Park

Please arrive early on your first day, with your guardian, to sign the waiver 

 

GARY BORJAS, Head Trainer

Gary is a life-long athlete, playing multiple sports in high school, baseball in college, and dabbling in a multitude of sports from bowling to weight lifting. He coached youth and travel baseball for 8 years. He earned his CrossFit Level 1 Certification in 2013 and opened a CrossFit gym in Chico, CA in 2014. He earned his Level 1 USA Olympic Lifting Certification in 2021 and now coaches CrossFit and Olympic lifting classes at Rio City CrossFit. The “Grizz” loves lifting heavy, putting in long hours at the gym, and coaching others as they find their passion and push themselves to reach new goals they never thought possible.

Karen McDaniels, Assistant Trainer

Karen McDaniels is a certified USA Weightlifting and Crossfit coach currently coaching weekly in Sacramento, CA. She has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Education and has held many different fitness certifications including ACSM. Karen is also a certified PE and Science teacher, teaching 7th through 12th graders in public schools for the past 12 years. She was a college athlete playing 4 collegiate volleyball seasons as well as 2 collegiate softball seasons. She has coached club and high school volleyball in the past in the state of Washington and Nevada. As a strength and conditioning coach, her focus is injury prevention through strength and mobility, developing speed, athlete accountability and joy from accomplishing hard work.
