FPVC Beach provides players with an introduction to the sport and allows experienced players the opportunity to strengthen their skills or even explore a new position. Our beach program takes place only in the summer.
Why should you play outside this summer? Because we can't think of a better way for our club players to improve their indoor game! Playing on the beach/grass has an impact on a player's all-around skills, understanding of the indoor game, and even speed and athleticism on the court.
Want to improve fast? Spend a few weeks or the entire summer "doing it all" on the beach/grass -- serving, passing, hitting, digging, blocking and playing the ball every other contact. It will definitely translate to your indoor experience.
FPVC offers two programs - the Competition Program and the Training Academy Program The Competition program requires athletes to try out while TAP does not. All players can sign up for beach and/or grass tournaments locally, in the bay area, or even in southern California. Players will need to sign up for these tournaments on their own and get the required memberships to participate (ie NCVA membership, AAU membership, etc).
Our dedicated, experienced and fun coaches include collegiate beach athletes, FPVC coaches, and the FPVC club director.
FPVC Beach, while still a new program, has quickly become one of the largest and most competitive beach programs in the Sacramento area.
Our newly renovated sand courts provide athletes with soft sand, access to a hose and access to shade
We work with athletes of all beach skill levels. We teach volleyball fundamentals to beginning players and advanced techniques to those with beach/outdoor experience. Beginners are taught the basics needed to have fun playing, and advanced players learn skills to help fine-tune their game.
